Open Water - Beginner SCUBA Diver

Course Description

The SDI Open Water Scuba Diver course is designed to give you the necessary skills to safely conduct open water dives. This course is the key to start exploring dive destinations around the world or even in your own backyard.

Course Fee Breakdown

1) Buy Your SDI E-Learning Code - $100.00 

The SDI comprehensive online learning program can be completed at your leisure. It consists of several chapters with quiz questions, as well as test at the end. You can start and stop if you would like to take your time with it, but please have the program completed before your first CW (Confined Water) classroom session. Contact us to purchase your E-Learning code today.

2) Visit us at New England Dive for your custom Personal Gear package - $199.95

New England Dive's Custom fit Personal Gear package consists of Mask, Fins, Snorkel, Boots, Defog, Mesh bag.Proper fit on these key pieces of gear is imperative to an enjoyable dive experience.

3) Sign Up for a Confined Water Training Weekend $199.95

Confined Water training consists of 1 classroom session and 6-8 hours of pool training. It is the first half of training you will need to complete and earn your Open Water Scuba Diver Certification from SDI. When arriving to your Confined Water session please bring a printed copy of your course completion summery this is found at the end of your on-line learning program. We will be going over this in the initial classroom setting, as well as signing paperwork. On the first class we will be issuing the included rental life support equipment you will need for the pool sessions.

Completing your Certification

Sign Up for an Open Water Weekend $250.00

After completing the CW training you will need to complete Open Water Dives before being able to submit for a C-Card aka certification card. OW dives are required as a minimum of 4 dives done over a span of at least 2 days. The dives are required to be at least 20ft for a least 20min. Here at New England Dive, this is referred to as an Open Water Weekend. We offer our OW weekends about twice a month May through September. * This fee includes Instruction, Life support equipment rental, Thermal protection, and the cost of a C-card.

Open Water Referral

If you are completing the open water dives elsewhere. There is NO fee for referral paper work, but if a copy of a C-card is requested upon the return of your referral there is a $35 charge per c-card copy.
