SKU:
Live your dream of becoming a PADI Scuba Instructor and open the door to countless opportunities around the globe. The PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) is your gateway to an exciting career with more job openings than any other role in the scuba diving industry. As a certified PADI Instructor, you'll gain access to a worldwide network of scuba jobs, from tropical resorts to local dive shops. In just nine days, you can embark on this incredible journey toward a fulfilling career in scuba diving.
The PADI IDC is a comprehensive program that combines two critical courses: the Assistant Instructor (AI) Course and the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) Course. The AI Course is perfect for those who may not have the time or desire to become a full OWSI but still want to take a major step toward teaching scuba diving. Together, these courses make up the complete Instructor Development Course (IDC).
Our 9-day IDC program immerses you in the PADI System of Instruction, giving you hands-on experience teaching in Confined Water, the Classroom, and Open Water environments. You'll be trained in a wide variety of courses that a certified PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor can teach. You'll also be tested on crucial topics such as Dive Theory, General Standards and Procedures, and teaching presentations.
Upon completing the IDC, you'll be fully prepared to take the Instructor Examination (IE), conducted by a PADI Examiner. This examination serves as a quality control check to ensure that you thoroughly understand the PADI System and are ready to apply your knowledge as an instructor.
As a PADI Instructor, you’ll be qualified to teach everything from Discover Scuba Diving to the PADI Divemaster Course. You'll also have the privilege of leading certified divers on tours of some of the world’s most beautiful reefs. Through the Discover Scuba Diving Course, you can introduce new divers to the wonders of the ocean, and with the PADI Open Water Course, you'll guide them on their first underwater adventures.
Teaching scuba diving not only allows you to share your passion for the ocean but also helps others experience the magic of marine life for themselves. The PADI IDC is the next step after completing your Divemaster Course, enhancing your diving skills and teaching techniques to inspire the next generation of ocean explorers.
Unlock your future as a PADI Scuba Instructor and start living the life you’ve always imagined!
